Sorry about the lack of updates lately. We’ve been hard at work on a secret project. True story. Details will be released soonish.

Since my last post, I’ve written two other articles for WoWInsider, Super Potions and WoW Coasters. I have to also apologize for not updating recently. I’ve been working a lot, raiding a lot..and now a weekly craft. I promise that I’ll get a new recipe posted this weekend though.

I’m very grateful to have a hobby that I can share with my wife and although she’s been a gamer since I’ve first known her, I have to credit WoW for providing such an excellent fusion of two things that I love.

I was under the impression that Shelbi and I were a rare breed but over the past few days I’ve noticed a suprising abundance of couples that play together. What category do you fall under?

Tankadin

While waiting for the Headless Horseman to set the town of Goldshire ablaze, I dueled with a very convincing protection-spec’d paladin. I’m not sure if you’ve seen two paladins go at it before, lets just say–we could go all night if we wanted. Nonetheless, I was impressed by his ability to totally hand my ass to me. Yeah, he was definitely better geared and trumped me by a level or two, but I’m no pushover, and was consistently getting wtfpwnd.

I knew instantly what spec he was rollin w/ his Capt. America shield toss and his extra reckoning swinging. I figured wth, time for a respec (my second since I rolled this char way back at the beginning of Dark Iron). It was time to graduate from retnoob to tankadin.

With Shelbi respecing her lock to affliction, and us both just reaching level 64, it worked out well. I’m still getting the hang of the new skills but I’m definitely liking it. I’ve found that I’m much more effective at taking out multiple mobs and actually prefer to go up against groups at a time. I’m eager to head back to Azeroth to do some AOE-grinding in Stratholme.
