We’re running a contest over at LFG: BlizzCon from June 1st to June 30th. Donate to Child’s Play and get a ticket for our virtual raffle.

The winner will receive a badge for BlizzCon 2011 (no swag bag) and a custom character illustration (minitarz). 100% of the proceeds will go to Child’s Play. For more info, including rules, Click Here.

Although the details of the raffle are TBD, most likely it will be conducted just like our last raffle.

Good and Bad

If you’re like me, you want to hear the bad news first and get it out of the way. So, here it is.

We received an e-mail from the 10K donator asking for a refund of his donation due to the fact that he made a clerical error when donating. As much as we would have liked to have given the $10,000 to Child’s Play, it needed to be returned. He did, however, donate $100, which was his original intention. Screenshot below – certain info is blocked out for obvious reasons.

Before we received this news, we contacted Kristin over at Child’s Play to see how they would like the money transferred. So, we’ll be donating the remainder via check. The total comes to $2517.00 (including a $111.69 donation from TBK to offset the Paypal fees). Upon having to redo our raffle spreadsheet, we came across an accounting mistake ($11 to be exact), which did not effect any previous drawing winners. We’ll be posting the new raffle numbers and initials on our donations page.

Ok, so the good news.
We will have another raffle which we will document w/ screenshots tonight. Two of the previous winners have been moved to spots 1 and 2. We will contact them accordingly so they can select their prizes. The remaining winners will be chosen in the same fashion as before – we just need to get it done faster so I can get to work on the prizes. So, all who donated have a better shot at winning.

We’ve learned some valuable lessons which will, hopefully, make things easier next time around… And even though this was kind of a bummer, we still raised a lot of money, which will do a lot of good. So, thank you guys!!

Donations for Tickets Closing Soon!
8:00PM CST is the cut-off for donations through TBK. If you don’t see your name on the Donation page immediately, don’t worry! We have a Christmas play at one of the kid’s schools and as soon as we get home I’ll be adding the remaining donations and sending out raffle number e-mails.

Raffle Meet-Up

We plan on liveblogging the event, so stay tuned here if you can’t make it out to Dark Iron. Hopefully we’ll be able to get a few people on Vent so we can have communication between both factions. This will help incase any low-level alts need a summon. I’m also a lock and I plan on collecting mass amounts of souls before the event.

More Prizes!

The other day I was browsing Etsy, and I came across a wonderful artist who had a magnificent Murloc in his shop. I immediately purchased one of the prints and sent him an e-mail asking if he would be kind enough to donate one of them. Well, he is definitely made of awesome, because he donated three – two of which aren’t even listed!

So, here are the three prints that we are proud to add to the raffle:

ZOMG – there was something else I just had to tell you guys. I’m so excited, I can’t wait until Jon posts. We have a HUGE prize coming up for you. I won’t ruin the surprise, but I will tell you that it is definitely worth a few more raffle ticket purchases. I would get in on this myself if I could (but that wouldn’t be fair).

One of our readers, Wena, suggested that we post banners for the raffle. What a great idea! So I’ve created three different banner sizes. Fell free to take the code and post to your site, blog, forums, etc. All of your donations are going to a very worth cause, so any bit of extra traffic helps!

Note: There are no borders on the banners – it’s only for display here.

Last Auction Donation

Our last auction donation was completed on 12/03/07. Sorry for the late post, but here’s a screenshot. As most of you know, that brought the total to $651. However, as of this morning, we’ve raised an additional $220. That’s so awesome! Keep up the good work you guys. We’ll be adding more prizes to the raffle very soon!
