Well things didn’t turn out exactly as planned but we learned some valuable lessons and I’m still proud of our total donated amount ($3168).

The good news is that we have some fat lewt to distribute to our new set of raffle winners. The updated list of winners can be found below:

A Grand Prize

I want to give a big thanks to all of you that have donated already, both with money or your time. We are nearing the $2000 mark and I think we’ve got just the thing to encourage you to help us surpass this incredible milestone:

Blizzard and Figureprints have very kindly donated a custom FigurePrints action figure of your in-game World of Warcraft character!

Not only are these things valued at over a $100 ($99.95 + $14.95 shipping), they’re extremely exclusive with the only current way to obtain the chance to buy one is by random drawing (or bundled with a $4500 Dell Laptop).

There are some restrictions due to the nature of the prize:
The FigurePrints FAQ indicates that their offering is not yet available for European and Asian realms (sorry guys) but Oceanic realms are fair game. Also, the turnaround time ranges from 30-60 days from the time your order is placed.

Another Prize

This isn’t quite “the big one” yet as I’m still working out the details for that one, but we’ve got an equally awesome addition to our prizes.

Our Swedish friend Ander (aka Supermoffe of Frostmane-EU) is offering up use of his art skills for a custom forum signature or website banner for one lucky winner.

Raffle Event Location & Time

I know you guys are chomping at the bit to know when and where the raffle will be held. Booty Bay beat out the other locations for its neutrality and overall awesomeness. We’ll do our best to get all the low-level alts to the party. If you’re Horde, we’ll have to work out some sort of communication. I’ve got a vent server that might be of use if the turn-out isn’t too big and we’ll be liveblogging the event and posting the winners here on TBK as well.

As for the time, we’ve decided on 11:00 PM CST (9:00 PM server time) on Friday the 14th. We’ll probably hang out for a while and actually perform the drawing at around 11:30 PM CST.

Shelbi and I will be on Aereyan and Kaelwryn, respectively.

Raffle entries will be closed at 8:00 PM CST. You’re more than welcome to continue to donate as 100% of proceeds will still go to Child’s Play, you just won’t be eligible to win any prizes after 8:00 PM CST.

Btw, you don’t have to be present at the event to win.

Welcome Wowhead Visitors

I’d like to give a warm welcome to our new visitors from Wowhead. Thanks to the staff over there for linking to us. If you’re enjoying the newly decorated Wowhead logo make sure to let Shelbi know as she’s the one responsible. There are plans to roll-out additional holiday themed variations of the logo but I won’t spoil the surprise here.

In charity raffle news we’re closely approaching 300 for our total entries, bringing our donated grand total very close to $1000. We’ve also got another prize donation, this time from Mania of Petopia and Mania’s Arcania. She’s offering up one of her fancy new 2008 Petopia Calendars.

We’ve received a wonderful prize donation from Mana Princess. She’s offered up a set of her hearthstone charms/keychains to one lucky winner.

We’ve also been trying to plan the in-game event. Our mains are Alliance on Dark Iron so we’ll be holding the event there but we’d like your feedback for the specific location.
