Recipe: Chocolate Square
1 can (5 oz) of evaporated milk
1/4 cup of unsalted butter
2 cups of sugar
1 jar (7 oz) of marshmallow creme
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 1/4 cups of semi sweet chocolate chips
Cover a pie pan with foil. Pour milk, softened butter, sugar, marshmallow creme and salt into a sauce pan. Stir constantly over medium heat (to boiling) for approximately 5 minutes. Remove from heat and mix vanilla and 2 cups of chocolate chips with a whisk. Quickly pour your fudge into your pan – saving 1/2 cup in a separate bowl. Add remaining (1/4 cup) chocolate chips into the bowl and microwave for 15-20 seconds. Mix well and quickly drizzle on top of the mixture already in the pan. Refrigerate to cool.
Note: Adding walnuts would be perfectly yummy. Jon prefers the fudge without, so I suffered.
